- Served three terms as the President of the Broward County Chapter of the FNGLA
- Chair of the Toxic Reduction Education Committee (T.R.E.C.) for the City of Ft. Lauderdale dealing with landscape architecture and pest control issues throughout the city for six years
- Served on the Executive Board for the Environmental Education Council (E.E.C.) of Broward County Schools
- 1989-1990 Vice President for the South Florida Interior Landscape Association (S.F.I.L.A.)
- Director for the Florida Foliage Association in 1988-1989
- Written publications on landscape design and pest management for the Environmental Protection Agency (E.P.A.) with the Department of Planning and Environmental Protection (D.P.E.P.)
- Awarded the 2002 Young Nursery Professional of the Year Award and Outstanding Chapter President for 2003 for the state by the Florida Nursery, Growers and Landscape Association (FNGLA).
